 TheRingLord Corporation  (TRL)    (1999-2019)

• Co-founder, Owner, CTO, CEO … all the things. 

• Created a niche industry that hadn’t previously existed - manufacturing metal rings and scales for chainmail. TRL grew to become a multi-million dollar business with a worldwide customer and supplier base. 

• Began transition to CEO in 2017 and became 91.5% owner and legally CEO in 2018 when I bought out the other co-founder and increased shares of the COO.  With this new level of freedom in leadership I re-systemized the entire company's operations - going from doing to delegating to empowering. This prepared the company for sale. 

• Mechanized the manufacturing of rings for chainmail by designing and adapting industrial machines. I designed a custom ring cutting system for the highest quality rings. I systemized all manufacturing processes & procedures.

• TRL Inventory System - I designed, coded and implemented an extremely detailed and highly integrated system that electronically connected everything involved in the running of the company. I designed and coded a custom website and android app. The entire integrated system connected the online ordering system including admin features, cyborg order picking (app assisted), shipping & inventory handling; kanban manufacturing and purchasing.  

• I valued truly understanding my staff’s roles before I systemized & mechanized or trained staff and managers. This often meant I performed their jobs, & in several cases was the most skilled expert. I was hands on.

• Created a very active online community - built & hosted an online forum before social media (yes there was a before) - then transitioned to social media where we gained over 23,000 organic followers. In these communities,  staff, suppliers and customers shared connection and excitement about each other, the art and their projects. 

• Designed & built factory spaces to suit the human and business needs. 

• Created all graphic design, including customer facing playful product photos and notes. 

• "Survived" not taking more than a couple days off in a row for over 10 years.

• President of a local chapter of an international not for profit organization, The Society for Creative Anachronism. This group was synergistic to TheRingLord. Under my leadership we tripled the membership.

• I orchestrated purchasing a primary supplier to TheRingLord & bringing on their former CEO as COO

• I orchestrated spinning off a product line from TheRingLord into a new company where I acted as a mentor, shareholder and silent partner.
